Licensed Wealth Advisor Assistant at TEKsystems

Position Overview

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming inquiries at one of our client's Wealth Advisor branch locations in Ottawa, ON. You will support daily branch operations, deliver an exceptional client experience, and assist advisors with administrative, regulatory, and compliance‑driven activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage account maintenance tasks, including updating client information, processing service requests, and accurately executing transactions.
  • Coordinate and schedule client meetings while preparing all necessary documentation, reports, and follow‑up materials.
  • Stay informed on regulatory updates and collaborate with the compliance department to ensure ongoing adherence to industry standards.
  • Assist in preparing documentation, files, and reports for audits and regulatory reviews, maintaining organized and compliant records.
Required Skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Effective calendar and schedule management
Top Skills – MUST HAVES
  • At least one of the following licenses:
    • CSC (Canadian Securities Course)
    • CPH (Conduct and Practices Handbook)
  • WME (Wealth Management Essentials) (Required for legally communicating with the advisor’s clients.)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a previous role involving client interaction within mutual funds or financial services
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Power Point
Preferred Qualifications (Nice To Have)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and analytics
  • Understanding of financial terminology and concepts
Candidate Disqualifiers
  • Are uncomfortable in a highly regulated, compliance‑heavy environment
  • Lack attention to detail or struggle to multitask under pressure
  • Prefer minimal client interaction, as this position is client‑facing
Work Environment
  • 100% in‑office
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
