Administrative Professional, Personal Debt Solutions
BDO is looking for an Administrative Professional to join the Personal Debt Solutions team in‑office. This replacement role supports our Centre of Excellence by assisting clients in fulfilling their obligations under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and managing court‑related administrative tasks.
Responsibilities- Assist in preparing, formatting, and proofreading court reports and other legal documents.
- Liaise effectively with internal staff and external parties, including legal professionals and court representatives.
- Manage deadlines and ensure timely submission of reports and documentation.
- Organize and maintain digital files in compliance with confidentiality requirements.
- Coordinate with management to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently.
- Support the preparation of court documents for hearings, meetings, and filings.
- Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, email correspondence, and data entry.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to liaise effectively with staff and outside parties.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Post‑secondary education with a legal background is an asset but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in Insolvency or Personal Debt Solutions, particularly with the Toronto Bankruptcy Court, is an asset but not required.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage a fast‑paced work environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated skills in time management, organization, and prioritization.
- Deadline‑oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
The compensation for this role is $32,000–$56,000 annually.
