Project Coordinator, Office of -IDEAS - Temporary
CHEO’s Office of I‑IDEAS (Indigeneity, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access and Social Justice) seeks a Project Coordinator to support research, development, implementation and evaluation of resources that advance I‑IDEAS initiatives.
Position SummaryThe Project Coordinator will partner with advisory committees and stakeholders to develop and implement projects, maintain documentation, and promote organizational commitment to I‑IDEAS.
Responsibilities- Supports and advances I‑IDEAS through development and implementation of processes and projects.
- Acts as key contact for personnel from advisory committees and working groups.
- Clarifies, updates and documents roles/responsibilities and tracks action plans.
- Raises awareness of CHEO’s commitment to I‑IDEAS and related workforce trends.
- Liaises with stakeholders to identify project requirements, scope and objectives.
- Determines necessary information and communications for stakeholders.
- Coordinates project schedules, workplans, minutes and related resources.
- Breaks projects into actionable steps with time frames.
- Monitors progress and handles issues with supervisor support.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
- Researches information, data, tools and trends to support documents and reporting.
- Informs supervisor of concerns, trends and successes.
- Brings creative problem‑solving and demonstrates respect for equitable processes.
- Performs work in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and CHEO policies.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Criminal Record Check (Level
1) – Essential - Minimum two‑year Diploma in Project Management or Administration – Essential
- Certification in project management or EDII (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigeneity) – Preferred
- Minimum three years in project coordination and/or administrative roles – Essential
- Experience advancing equity, diversity, inclusion and indigeneity – Essential
- Experience facilitating, managing and documenting meetings – Essential
- Ability to gather, monitor and analyze data – Preferred
- Computer and word‑processing skills, advanced MS Office, PowerPoint – Preferred
- Attention to detail – Essential
- Flexible approach to work demands – Essential
- Initiative and ability to adjust priorities – Essential
- Self‑directed with advanced planning, organization, prioritization – Essential
- Strong oral and written communication skills – Essential
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and policies – Essential
- Bilingualism French/English – Preferred
$45.37 – $53.39 per hour
