About the job

The Service Delivery Assistant supports employment and training services that help people build skills, find work, and access opportunities across Eastern Ontario. This role is part of a regional team that works with service providers, employers, and community partners to support strong local labour markets.

In this position, you help keep services running smoothly and fairly. You'll work in a busy, public facing environment, supporting clients in person, by phone, and by email. You support clients at key points in their journey, handle information and payments accurately, and provide reliable administrative support. Your work helps ensure programs and exams are delivered consistently, securely, and on time.

This role offers exposure to a range of administrative and customer service activities.

Responsibilities
  • Support a well‑organized office environment by preparing complete documents, maintaining secure records, and helping clients understand next steps.
  • Provide clear and helpful information to clients, employers, and coworkers by explaining programs, requirements, and processes.
  • Review, enter, and update client and program information accurately, while protecting privacy and confidentiality.
  • Process payments and related paperwork, including fees, invoices, receipts, and deposits, and follow up when records do not match.
  • Prepare and organize letters, forms, simple reports, and files, and help keep supplies and materials up to date.
  • Work with coworkers and partners to support smooth, timely service delivery.
  • Manage more than one task at a time in a busy environment and adjust priorities as needed.

What you bring to the team Mandatory requirements

You must possess oral French language skills at the advanced level and written French language skills at the advanced minus level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire.

You will be required to travel frequently.

Customer service and communication skills
  • Have experience helping people in person, over the phone, by email, or through online meetings.
  • Can explain information and next steps clearly using plain language.
  • Listen carefully, respond respectfully, and handle concerns calmly.
Administrative and organizational skills
  • Have experience doing administrative or clerical work involving records, forms, or files.
  • Can organize your work, manage more than one task at a time, and learn new processes as needed.
  • Are comfortable using common office software to prepare letters, forms, and reports.
Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Can review information to make sure it is complete and correct.
  • Notice errors or missing details and take steps to fix them.
  • Understand the importance of keeping information private and secure.
Basic math and financial skills
  • Can do basic math related to fees, payments, and records.
  • Have experience handling payments, receipts, or financial paperwork.
  • Can compare records and notice when amounts do not match.
Judgement and working independently
  • Can follow clear steps and procedures to complete your work.
  • Handle routine situations and know when to ask questions or raise concerns.
  • Work independently while also contributing to a team.
