The Office Manager at Chief Kahkewistahaw Community School (CKCS) plays a critical role in supporting the principal and overseeing the daily administrative operations of the school. This position is responsible for ensuring organizational efficiency, staff coordination, effective communication, and the smooth operation of school services and programs.

The Office Manager will organize and streamline office procedures, supervise office support staff, manage student data systems, oversee budgets and inventory control, and assist in fostering a positive school environment.

The Office Manager role remains active throughout the summer months, supporting school close-out tasks, preparation for the new school year, and administrative continuity.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (required); post-secondary education in Administration, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 35 years of experience in administration, office management, and staff supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of office procedures, data management, and administrative best practices.
  • Proficiency with My School Sask  student database system (required).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of school operations and the ability to manage difficult situations involving staff, parents, and students with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to draft clear and professional documents independently.
  • Leadership ability, including conflict management and positive staff engagement.
  • High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude, courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and uphold a high level of professionalism.
