The Legal Assistant in the Corporate Department provides essential administrative support for corporate transactions, as well as Wills and Estates matters. This role is crucial in ensuring that administrative procedures are carried out effectively, maintaining a high standard of quality and client service throughout.
Salary range is $48,000 – $60,000.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare legal correspondence and documentation, including thorough editing and quality assurance.Draft Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Estate-related documentation.Coordinate communication both internally and externally via mail, email, fax, and telephone.Manage and maintain client files, responding to client inquiries as needed.Accurately prepare daily dockets and documentation for the team.Prepare and process accounts.Maintain the firm’s Wills Vault Safekeeping system.Organize and coordinate meetings, conference calls, and ensure agendas are maintained.Arrange travel and meal logistics for meetings and events as needed.Assist with various other projects and provide support to other departments as required.Qualifications
Education – A Legal or Law Clerk diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution, or a suitable combination of education and relevant experience.Experience – At least two (2) years of experience in a law office setting.Technical Proficiency – Strong working knowledge of Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with Estate administration or Wills preparation software would be considered an asset.Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.Interpersonal Skills – Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships, with a professional and polished presentation.Skills Required
