Pre-Operative Assessment Unit Clerk

Support pre-operative patient care at Pembroke Regional Hospital through reception, data entry, and organized patient information. Work within a collaborative healthcare team.

This Unit Clerk supports clerical functions in the Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic. Duties include reception, communications, data entry, patient information organization, and coordinating supplies and activities. The position follows Hospital policies, procedures, Mission, Vision and Values.

• Perform reception and communication functions supporting patient care
• Enter data and maintain organized patient information
• Organize supplies and activities for nursing unit care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Follow Hospital policies, procedures, Mission, Vision and Values

• Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related one-year program
• Completion of a Medical Terminology course
• At least three months’ hospital or clerical experience
• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
