University Admissions Operations Coordinator

Manage undergraduate admissions operations at the University of Waterloo using applicant support, file assessment, and accurate data coding skills. This is a full-time, one-year temporary opportunity.

The Admissions Coordinator works within a 10–12-person team supporting applicants throughout the admissions cycle. The position handles Ontario Secondary School files, special cases, part-time and distance education, exchange, and other admissions groups. Responsibilities include explaining requirements, verifying documents, updating records, and supporting accurate decisions.

• Respond to applicant inquiries by telephone, email, and in person
• Assess, verify, and prepare undergraduate applicant files
• Code test scores, transfer credits, transcripts, and status changes
• Run standard queries and complete document quality checks
• Communicate policy updates and file information to stakeholders

• Some post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
• Previous customer service experience
• Progressive experience with proven success in admissions
• Experience dealing with stakeholders or educational organizations
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
