JOB DESCRIPTION:
The
Glass Technician
willbe responsible for Installing windshields and autoglassin our shop or from a mobile operation unit.
Whatyou’llbe doing:
Install windshields and autoglassin our shop or from a mobile operation unit.
Calibrate vehicle electronics suchas
ADASsystems, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, etc.
Repair chips and otherglassdamage.
Interact with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with a job well done.
Process payments from mobile customers.
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
Maintain cleanliness ofworkenvironment.
Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on installed products and equipment.
Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves malfunctions of a moderately complex nature.
Determineswhen products should be upgraded or replaced.
Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform vehicle detailing operations toestablishedstandards.
Vacuuming, cleaning, and shampooinginteriorwith cleaning and extracting equipment.
Powerwashexteriorofvehicle.
A valid driver's license andgooddriving record isrequired.
Paint correction and application of Ziebart approved paint protection products.
Final detailing the vehicles for customer deliveries.
Perform rust protection services toestablishedstandards.
Drill access holes in body metals.
Spray various rust protection products inside panels & under bodyasrequired.
Produce workin a timely manner.
Maintainsafeand clean work environment.
Requirements:
1+ Year(s) of automotiveglassinstallation experience recommended.
Musthave a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to maneuver around vehicles to position yourself safely during installations.
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
Capable of working any day of the week including Sundays andworkin hot/cold weatherconditions.
Must be able tolift upto fifty (50) pounds.
Basic computer skills: ability to use a keyboard and a mouse to correctly collect and enter information into apoint of salesystem.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
Comfortable working infast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks toaccomplishgoals.
Motivated self-starter who is willing to work independently and with teams.
