Service Advisor – Mercedes-Benz Dealership Position Summary

As a Service Advisor, you are the trusted link between our customers and our service department. You will create exceptional first impressions, guide customers through their service experience, and ensure every interaction reflects the luxury, quality, and professionalism associated with the Mercedes-Benz brand.

The ideal candidate is a customer-focused professional with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for delivering an outstanding ownership experience. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate maintenance and repairs, and ensuring vehicles are serviced efficiently and accurately.

You will build lasting relationships with our customers by providing personalized service, demonstrating strong product knowledge, and ensuring every visit exceeds expectations.

Key Responsibilities Customer Experience & Relationship Management
  • Welcome customers in a professional, courteous, and timely manner whether in person or by phone.
  • Build strong relationships by understanding customer needs and providing personalized recommendations.
  • Schedule service appointments based on customer requirements and vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Provide clear communication throughout the entire service process.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward positive resolutions.
  • Deliver a premium customer experience that encourages loyalty and repeat business.
  • Coordinate vehicle delivery to ensure all requested services have been completed and the vehicle is presented to Mercedes-Benz standards.
Service Consultation & Vehicle Care
  • Review customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues on repair orders.
  • Use service history and manufacturer guidelines to identify maintenance and repair requirements.
  • Ask detailed questions to assist technicians in proper diagnosis.
  • Recommend required maintenance, repairs, and preventative services.
  • Explain repairs, timelines, and costs clearly to customers.
  • Review completed work with customers to ensure full understanding and satisfaction.
  • Keep customers informed regarding vehicle progress and any additional recommendations.
  • Educate customers on proper vehicle care and the importance of maintaining their Mercedes-Benz according to manufacturer specifications.
Organization & Attention to Detail
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all paperwork is completed properly and efficiently.
  • Keep customer records, service forms, pricing information, and department materials current.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly parked, secured, and keys are correctly managed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
  • Uphold high standards of personal presentation, professionalism, and dealership appearance.
  • Work closely with technicians, parts, and dealership teams to ensure smooth operations.
Represent the Mercedes-Benz Brand
  • Stay current with Mercedes-Benz products, technology, service programs, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Complete all required training and continuously expand product knowledge.
  • Communicate current service offers, promotions, and dealership initiatives.
  • Deliver a luxury ownership experience that reflects Mercedes-Benz standards.
  • Identify opportunities to grow service business and strengthen customer loyalty.
