Position: Estimator (Collision Centre)

Adecco is currently hiring a Collision Repair Estimator for a full-time, permanent opportunity with our client. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy building relationships with customers, insurance partners, and internal teams, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Collision Repair Estimator, you will be the primary point of contact for customers throughout the repair process, providing accurate repair estimates, coordinating with insurance companies, ordering parts, and ensuring repairs are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

  • Pay Rate: $28.40/hour + monthly performance bonus based on individual and dealership success
  • Location: Ottawa, ON
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional weekends may be required)
  • Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.
  • Signing Bonus: Total of $4,000
    • $500 on first pay (must remain employed for 90 days)
    • $500 upon successful completion of probation (must remain employed for 6 months)
    • $1,000 after 6 months of employment (must remain employed for 1 year)
    • $2,000 after 1 year of employment
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers in a professional, friendly, and positive manner
  • Conduct thorough vehicle damage appraisals and prepare accurate repair estimates
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the repair process
  • Explain available repair options and guide customers through the process
  • Prepare estimates for customers, insurance companies, and internal departments
  • Ensure all required repairs, touch-ups, and customer requests are accurately documented
  • Record all customer conversations, special instructions, and file updates within the system
  • Order required parts and document ordering details on work orders
  • Coordinate with the Control Tower team to ensure repair timelines and customer expectations are met
  • Contact customers to schedule repairs once parts have arrived
  • Proactively communicate any delays or schedule changes to customers and insurance providers
  • Coordinate vehicle pick‑up appointments and ensure customer satisfaction upon delivery
  • Follow up on unsold estimates to secure additional business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies and business partners
  • Complete supplemental estimates ("additionals") promptly to avoid repair delays
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable legislation
  • Support additional duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • Previous body shop or collision repair experience is required
  • Strong understanding of collision repair processes and procedures
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

    Proficiency with computer systems and estimating software
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for preparing estimates and cost calculations
  • Excellent visual assessment skills with the ability to identify all vehicle damages accurately
  • Positive attitude with a customer‑focused approach
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office‑based in a heated and air‑conditioned environment
  • Regular outdoor work required to inspect vehicles year‑round, including in varying weather conditions
  • Frequent interaction with customers, insurance partners, and internal teams
  • Exposure to an active collision repair environment, including welding operations, paint fumes, and other shop‑related hazards
  • Must follow all safety procedures and maintain awareness while working in the body shop environment
