Role Description

This full-time, on-site Automotive Technician role is based at Speedy Auto Service in Ottawa, ON. The Automotive Technician will perform routine vehicle inspections, diagnose issues, and complete maintenance and repair services in accordance with safety and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include performing oil changes, brake and suspension work, and general automotive repairs, as well as documenting all services completed. The role also involves communicating clearly with service advisors and customers, following shop procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

The Automotive Technician will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in routine vehicle maintenance and oil changes.
  • Candidates should possess skills in automotive repair and general maintenance & repair tasks.
  • Candidates should possess skills in suspension inspection, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Experience using diagnostic tools and equipment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Relevant automotive technician certification or apprenticeship, and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, with strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Previous experience in an automotive service center or dealership is an asset.
