SURGICAL COORDINATOR (INTRAOCULAR PROCEDURES)

• permanent full-time position (40hrs/week)

• answer questions from surgeons and patients regarding intraocular procedures.
• maintain tracking sheets and monthly statistical reports.
• receive and process approval of cataract surgery by medical directors.
• identify and solve problems as they arise.
• plan, organize, and schedule patients for surgery days.
• comfortable standing for long periods of time.
• detail-oriented and work with precision and accuracy.
• cross-trained for the Surgical Assistant position (once you have completed your initial training).
• support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management.

• experience in the healthcare field (an asset).
• easy to connect with others and quickly build trust.
• sense of responsibility and take your role seriously.
• thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and when you work as part of a team.
• comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset).
• organized, self-disciplined, and have excellent prioritization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• excellent communication skills.
• flexible availability Monday - Friday (8:00am - 4:00pm) & occasional Saturdays.
• can travel for work/training between our three LASIK MD clinics in the region:
  Ottawa, Ottawa West & Gatineau.
• excellent communication skills, speak English & French (advanced intermediate level of French required).
