We are seeking a driven & responsible Project Manager in Training, Foundations to join our dynamic Team.
The PM in Training, Foundations, plays a critical role in the management of the Foundation Program, coordinates and oversees the completion of all exterior lot activities for their assigned site and delivers quality products, while meeting strict deadlines.

You will Bring
- College Diploma related to Construction Engineering Technician, Civil Engineering Technology, or similar field is an asset
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a similar role within a development or construction environment
- Access to a reliable vehicle with a G Class driving permit

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Trade Partners to ensure that excavation through plating meets scope and quality standards for handoff to ABIC
- Based on the issued schedule, coordinate Flatworks program for the site
- Review all relevant plans for accuracy and request amendments, where appropriate
- Maintain OLS with daily updates (ensuring that tasks are signed off and documents are uploaded)
- Notify the Project Coordinator to schedule Inspections with The City of Ottawa, as needed
- Inspect and turnover foundations to Lift Teams on-time, with zero deficiencies
- Ensure that all checklists & process confirmations are completed on-time and understand the value of process standards, and their relation to achieving quality targets
- Organize Winter flatwork efficiently and collaborate with other Departments to deliver Winter flatwork within the required timeline (for all model types)
- Manage Winter Labourers efficiently by assigning various tasks related to snow removal, heat setup, and other miscellaneous tasks
- Schedule and conduct Final Occupancy Inspections with The City of Ottawa for sign off & assumption
- Organize site logistics and work with other Departments & Trades to ensure smooth onsite operations
- Ensure Trades are following on-site safety protocols and reporting infractions (perform weekly Toolbox Talks and site audits, maintain daily logbook, etc.)
- Consistently create POs for extra work, as required, in a timely manner
- Be informed and abide by Department Policies and Procedures
- Other duties, as required
Working Conditions
- The majority of time is spent on construction sites
- PPE is required at all times in field settings (steel toes & a hard hat)
- Work may involve exposure to weather, noise, dust, and high-risk activities
- The position is situated on a busy, high-volume construction site with constant activity, including large machinery
