Parker Huggett has been engaged to recruit an Assistant Site Superintendent for a respected tier one general contractor delivering commercial and institutional projects across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.

As the Assistant Site Superintendent, you’ll work alongside a Senior Superintendent, supporting the day-to-day execution of active construction sites. This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain exposure to all phases of construction while steadily building toward a future Superintendent position.
You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, mentored by experienced site leadership, and given room to grow.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Supporting daily on-site operations to keep work progressing safely and on schedule

Coordinating subcontractors, trades, and deliveries

Assisting with site safety programs, toolbox talks, and compliance

Monitoring quality control and workmanship standards

Helping track schedules, deficiencies, and progress reports

Maintaining site documentation and contributing to problem-solving as issues arise

Acting as a visible, professional presence on site

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

Experience working on construction sites in an assistant or junior supervisory capacity

Exposure to commercial, institutional, or multi-unit projects (ICI experience is an asset)

Strong understanding of site safety practices and construction sequencing

A proactive, organized, and dependable work style

Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn

A team-first mindset with the ambition to grow into a Superintendent role
