Building Envelope Estimator

Join our team as a Building Envelope Estimator in Ottawa, applying your skills in construction estimation and analytical abilities. Support diverse projects while collaborating closely with the Director of Estimating.

This full-time, permanent role requires a minimum of five years of construction experience. You will analyze project drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and request pricing from suppliers. Your expertise in external cladding will be essential for creating competitive bids and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project drawings and specifications thoroughly

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and labor calculations

• Request and compare pricing from various suppliers

• Evaluate equivalent products and submit requests for equivalency

• Prepare and submit bids to clients by deadlines

Requirements:

• DEC in Estimation Technology or equivalent training

• At least 5 years of construction industry experience

• Proven ability to interpret architectural drawings

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and knowledge of Bluebeam a plus

• Bilingual in French and English preferred
