As an experienced Estimator working in the Pre-Construction team at Pomerleau Construction, you will support new and ongoing project growth and challenge industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will work closely with our proposals team and various client groups to secure bids and ensure project success.
WhatYou Will Do
- Contribute to the bid process cycle.
- Identify project-specific prices for labor, equipment, and materials.
- Accurately interpret technical specifications with a keen eye for detail.
- Perform thorough quantity take-offs to ensure precise contract specifications and pricing.
- Maintain a focus on client pricing requirements for project feasibility.
- Cultivate relationships with trade partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project goals.
- Explore innovative solutions and opportunities within the parameters of the project.
- 5+ years of relevant estimating experience in the construction industry.
- A University Degree, College Diploma or certificate in Engineering or Construction Management, or a combination of education and industry experience.
- A proven track record of project coordination and team collaboration.
- Experience building relationships with industry and project stakeholders.
- A comprehensive understanding of the bid process cycle.
- Critical research skills used for identifying and analyzing project-specific expenses.
- Expertise in quantity take-offs to guarantee accuracy in contract specifications and pricing.
