Backhoe Operator (Asphalt Division)

OverviewOur Mainline and Commercial/Residential Paving Crews are hiring for May 2026. This individual is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks/responsibilities efficiently and effectively. They will meet quality standards and production targets set by the organization. They will follow established procedures, guidelines, and best practices. It is important that they maintain open and constructive communication with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Finally, they will show punctuality and reliability in fulfilling work obligations.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Operate a backhoe on an iron adjustment crew
- Ability to operate in a safe manner within tight working environment
- Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
- Assist team members with other tasks related to construction project
- 3-5 years experience operating a backhoe on an asphalt crew is required
- Valid drivers license and own transportation is required
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Working hours may require some weekend and evening shifts

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $28.00 and $38.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
