Safety Coordinator in Heavy Civil Construction

Clearwater Structures Inc. seeks an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance across its heavy civil operations in Ontario. This role emphasizes proactive coaching to foster a comprehensive safety culture.

As part of the safety management team, you will serve as a primary health and safety resource, engaging with management and field staff to uphold safety standards. Your responsibilities include conducting regular site inspections and promoting safety improvements. You will play a crucial role in facilitating orientations and ensuring corrective actions are documented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between field operations and management

• Conduct project site and equipment inspections

• Promote proactive safety culture initiatives

• Facilitate safety training and maintain records

• Assist in compliance during Ministry of Labour visits

Requirements:

• Over 3 years in heavy civil construction

• Strong understanding of Ontario health and safety regulations

• Occupational Health & Safety diploma or equivalent

• Certification in JHSC preferred

• Comfortable with technology like Site Docs
