Building Systems Student

We are seeking Building Systems Students for the Ottawa District office on a project in Ottawa, Ontario within the Canadian Buildings Division. The role is for 4 months from September 2026 to December 2026.

• Updates and submits mechanical and electrical shop drawings
• Reviews and verifies site installations
• Assists with quality control
• Updates and inputs the commissioning schedule
• Witnesses and coordinates commissioning activities
• Assists with RFI tracking and processing
• Performs on‑site coordination with trades and reviews progress on site
• Tracks deficiencies
• Assists other project managers on the project related to other disciplines/trades

• Working towards a degree or diploma in a mechanical engineering related field
• Passion for working in a construction environment
• Ability to review shop and construction drawings
• Self‑motivation with a hands‑on approach
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with a variety of different partners
• Prior field construction experience is considered an asset

The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37 – $31.33 based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
