Seymour Pacific Developments is looking for a Full Time Site Safety Officer in Ottawa, ON. This role focuses on ensuring safety compliance and strong communication among workers on the construction site.
As a Site Safety Officer, you will enhance safety on our residential construction project in Ottawa. With 1-5 years of safety experience preferred, you will investigate incidents, conduct hazard assessments, and facilitate in-house training. Your commitment to fostering a safe work environment will make a significant impact on our team’s overall safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain safe working conditions on the construction site
• Provide instructions on safe work practices and PPE usage
• Investigate accidents and near misses for root causes
• Report loss of work time promptly to the Safety Manager
• Conduct regular hazard assessments and implement improvements
Requirements:
• Experience in residential construction safety
• 1-5 years of safety experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence others
• Valid First Aid certification
