PCL is seeking Estimating Students for its Ottawa District within the Canadian Buildings Division. This four-month internship offers a supportive environment for students pursuing degrees in civil engineering or architectural technology. You'll gain practical experience by assisting with tender document preparation and engaging with trade contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing tender documents for projects

• Contact trade contractors and suppliers for support

• Obtain and build unit pricing effectively

• Perform and update quantity take-offs

• Update requests for information lists consistently

Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in civil engineering or architecture

• Ability to perform quantity take-offs and unit pricing

• Experience reading blueprints

• Knowledge of conceptual estimating principles

• Strong computer skills, especially in spreadsheets
