Position: Internship as Estimator for Bird Construction
Join Bird Construction as a Student Estimator intern in Ottawa and expand your project management skills. This co-op role emphasizes collaboration and practical learning in all aspects of estimating.

As a co-op student, you will explore estimating through hands-on experience with real projects. Engaging with project plans and specifications will strengthen your understanding of estimating practices. Support from seasoned professionals will facilitate growth in your technical and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review specifications and project documents for understanding

• Develop estimates through take-offs from project drawings

• Prepare cost estimates utilizing estimating tools and software

• Help compile and organize bid proposals effectively

• Collaborate to analyze bids and ensure their competitiveness

Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering

• GPA must be 3.0 or above; one semester left post-internship

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment

• Valid work permit for Bird Construction is necessary

• Submission of current academic transcript required
