Position: Senior Estimator for Construction Projects
Take charge of cost estimations as a Senior Estimator at Bird in Ottawa, Ontario. Collaborate with project teams to deliver competitive bids for civil and concrete projects.

In this senior role, you will work closely with project managers and subcontractors to create detailed estimates that drive successful project outcomes. Your contributions will also include developing project strategies and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. This is an on-site position requiring Secret-level Security Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on comprehensive cost estimates for diverse projects

• Drive bid strategies and prepare estimating deliverables

• Establish Preconstruction in Progress (PIP) forms and KPIs

• Oversee tendering and risk assessment processes

• Conduct lessons learned and project close-out analyses

Requirements:

• 10+ years’ experience as Cost Consultant or Estimator

• Must hold an undergraduate degree in quantity surveying or engineering

• Eligible for or possess PQS, CET, or P.Eng designations

• Experience with estimating software programs

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
