Position: Safety Advisor for Local Projects
Support safety practices with Total Group of Companies as a Safety Advisor in the Ottawa area. Engage with site teams to promote safe work practices and compliance.

Total Group of Companies is seeking Safety Advisors who are local to Ottawa. This casual role requires a strong safety background to aid field crews, contractors, and client representatives. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, facilitating safety meetings, and maintaining a proactive safety culture across various site environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support site personnel with daily safety practices

• Conduct site safety observations and hazard assessments

• Assist with toolbox talks and safety orientations

• Monitor compliance with safety regulations

• Facilitate reporting of incidents and hazards

Requirements:

• Previous experience in safety advisory roles

• Relevant safety certifications (NCSO, CSO, HSO, HSE)

• Strong communication skills with on-site teams

• Detail-oriented in documentation and safety processes

• Positive attitude and ability to work independently
