Job Description
As Senior Cost Manager
, you will be involved in:
Lead the Architectural, Civil and Structural post contract cost control of several design packagesTake ownership of change control and advise stakeholders on funding whether in-budget, contingency, risk or escalationUndertake tender reviews for governance, contractual and budget alignmentParticipate in programme wide periodic cash flow forecasts, adapting to dynamic schedules and scopeParticipate, in-person, in meetings with the client and various other stakeholdersProvide periodic cost / project reports incorporating estimates at completion, early warnings, cashflows and variance trackingSupport the Project Manager in risk reviews and risk quantificationSupport the preparation and management of cost estimates, value engineering and cost planning across all project phasesAct as the primary client liaison for all cost-related mattersMentor and support junior cost consultants and project team membersQualifications
10+ years of experience in cost managementA recognized university degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject with Canadian equivalency if obtained outside Canada (WES etc.)Membership of Relevant Professional Organizations such as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) or similarReliability clearance with the Government of Canada or ability to obtain it quicklyDemonstratable experience on at least two projects that have a total value of $100M+Differentiators
Ability to provide expert advice on life cycle costing, benchmarking, and sustainability.Demonstrated contribution to business management, business development and client relationship management.Knowledge of and experience using CostXKnowledge of and experience using RevitAdditional Information
