Job Description

As Senior Cost Manager
, you will be involved in:

Lead the Architectural, Civil and Structural post contract cost control of several design packages

Take ownership of change control and advise stakeholders on funding whether in-budget, contingency, risk or escalation

Undertake tender reviews for governance, contractual and budget alignment

Participate in programme wide periodic cash flow forecasts, adapting to dynamic schedules and scope

Participate, in-person, in meetings with the client and various other stakeholders

Provide periodic cost / project reports incorporating estimates at completion, early warnings, cashflows and variance tracking

Support the Project Manager in risk reviews and risk quantification

Support the preparation and management of cost estimates, value engineering and cost planning across all project phases

Act as the primary client liaison for all cost-related matters

Mentor and support junior cost consultants and project team members

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in cost management

A recognized university degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject with Canadian equivalency if obtained outside Canada (WES etc.)

Membership of Relevant Professional Organizations such as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) or similar

Reliability clearance with the Government of Canada or ability to obtain it quickly

Demonstratable experience on at least two projects that have a total value of $100M+

Differentiators

Ability to provide expert advice on life cycle costing, benchmarking, and sustainability.

Demonstrated contribution to business management, business development and client relationship management.

Knowledge of and experience using CostX

Knowledge of and experience using Revit
