The NRC seeks a Specification Writer for its Construction Research Centre. This pivotal role supports the development and enhancement of the National Master Construction Specification, a vital resource for construction professionals. Successful candidates will apply their expertise in building science and construction documentation to ensure specification accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write and edit master specifications for clarity and compliance
• Collaborate with technical advisors to integrate industry updates
• Perform quality assurance reviews for documentation
• Analyze user feedback to improve NMS content
• Mentor junior team members on specification writing best practices
Requirements:
• Degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering or related field
• Experience in writing and editing construction specifications
• Familiarity with Master Format and Uni Format standards
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Background in sustainable design is a plus
