Join us as a Building Systems Student for our Ottawa district, within our Canadian Buildings sector for 4 months starting January 2027. Depending on your assigned project as a Building Systems Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

  • Updates and submits mechanical and electrical shop drawings.
  • Reviews and verifies site installations.
  • Assists with quality control.
  • Updates and inputs the commissioning schedule.
  • Witnesses and coordinates commissioning activities.
  • Assists with Request for Information (RFI) tracking and processing.
  • Performs on-site coordination with trades and reviews progress on site.
  • Tracks deficiencies.
  • Assists other project managers on the project related to other disciplines/trades.

Qualifications

  • Working towards a degree or diploma in a mechanical engineering related field.
  • A passion for working in a construction environment.
  • Ability to review shop and construction drawings.
  • Self-motivation with a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with a variety of different partners.
  • Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.

The estimated salary range for this role is $21.25 to $30.00, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
