Lead complex property loss assessments for Ellis Don, using advanced estimating and quantity surveying expertise to advise clients independently. Travel to loss locations when required.
As a Senior Building Consultant, you will lead major commercial property loss assignments, including losses of $2 million and greater. You will assess damaged properties, develop scopes, analyze costs, and provide defensible recommendations. The work includes construction, restoration, and reconstruction challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead complex building and cost consulting assignments independently
- Assess commercial, institutional, industrial, and multi-family property damage
- Validate remediation, repair, restoration, and reconstruction scopes
- Prepare estimates using Xactimate and recognized methodologies
- Advise stakeholders on costs, risks, sequencing, and constructability
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with large commercial property losses
- Advanced knowledge of construction and restoration costs
- Strong estimating, quantity surveying, and cost analysis capabilities
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
