Web Designer

Position Description

We are looking for a Web designer to help design and create a customized web solution. The resource must have the ability to understand what is needed to make the site functional and easy to update, but at the same time make it aesthetically appealing, visually intuitive and user-friendly.

• Blending words, images, and technology into creative design concepts.
• Managing assigned tasks and creating project plans.
• Following and enhancing company brand guidelines and assisting in standardizing branding practices among coworkers.
• Creating graphic designs through a multitude of platforms to support marketing team initiatives in all print, email and online marketing.
• Converting complex data analytics into easy-to-ready infographics.
• Illustrating creative concepts with storyboards and rough designs.
• Creating modern company presentations and word document templates using brand guidelines.
• Ensuring company equipment is well maintained by following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and evaluating new equipment.
• Collaborating with team members to support other division needs and ensuring consistency in branded content.
• Building and delivering data-driven marketing campaigns to drive demand generation and awareness.
• Enhancing professional skills and monitoring market trends in graphic design technology.

• Graphic design or related diploma or related field experiences

• A strong portfolio that demonstrates a variety of graphic design skills and layout abilities
• Basic understanding of UI design principals, web development, and marketing platforms
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, XD, After Affects, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and can work well under pressure
• Knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS considered an asset
• Knowledge of SEO tools and concepts such as Google Analytics, Google Keyword Search Console would consider an asset
