The Office of Continuing Professional Development at the University of Ottawa is seeking candidates for two contract positions lasting up to 12 months. As an experienced event manager, you will plan, coordinate, and execute diverse events that foster strategic partnerships and enhance community engagement. Your expertise will support recruitment, fundraising, and other essential activities while leading a team and maintaining budgetary compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and plan events aligned with faculty objectives
• Manage logistics, reservations, and equipment for events
• Supervise and train volunteers and team members
• Maintain adherence to budgets and financial regulations
• Create marketing plans to boost event participation
Requirements:
• College diploma in event management or related field
• Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Proven ability to work under pressure
• Bilingual in French and English
