Join CHEO as an Anesthesia Assistant in Ottawa, providing critical care support to pediatric patients. Utilize your technical skills in anesthesia and sedation to ensure safe procedures.
As a vital member of the Anesthesia Care Team, you will support the delivery of anesthetic care r expertise will be crucial for preparing and maintaining equipment, setting up intravenous lines, and administering anesthetic medications. This role combines both technical skills and patient interaction in a rewarding pediatric care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide anesthesia and sedation for CHEO patients
• Maintain anesthetic equipment and provide technical support
• Assist in intravenous cannulation and drug administration
• Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery
• Facilitate transport for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
Requirements:
• Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
• Member of relevant professional colleges (Essential)
• BCLS certification (Essential)
• Clinical Anesthesia Assistant Certification required
• One year experience as Anesthesia Assistant preferred
