Join CHEO as an Anesthesia Assistant in Ottawa, where you will support anesthetic care and sedation for pediatric patients. Your expertise will be essential in a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team.
As a vital member of CHEO, a leader in pediatric health, you will employ your clinical skills and technical knowledge. Responsibilities include preparing anesthetic equipment, managing intravenous lines, and assisting during all phases of anesthesia. This position requires a strong dedication to providing optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Anesthesia Care Team in pediatric sedation
• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and medications
• Set up intravenous and invasive monitoring lines
• Monitor patients and respond to anesthesia parameters
• Facilitate patient transport for procedures
Requirements:
• Valid registration with relevant professional colleges
• Clinical Anesthesia Assistant Certification (or able to obtain)
• Minimum one-year anesthesia assistant experience preferred
• Pediatric critical care experience preferred
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and commitment to education
Support the delivery of advanced pediatric anesthetic care at CHEO in Ottawa.
