Position: Registered Dental Technologist (RDT) - New Grad

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Technologist (RDT) – New Graduate to support the design, fabrication, and quality assurance of dental restorations and prosthetic appliances. This entry-level role is suited to a recent graduate who is committed to developing technical skills, maintaining high standards of accuracy, and contributing to a collaborative dental laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review dental prescriptions, case specifications, impressions, scans, photographs, and related clinical information.
  • Assist with the design and fabrication of crowns, bridges, removable prosthetics, implant-related restorations, and other dental appliances within the scope of training and authorization.
  • Use laboratory equipment, materials, digital workflows, and computer-aided design and manufacturing systems as appropriate.
  • Follow established procedures for model work, waxing, casting, pressing, milling, finishing, polishing, and case completion.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, fit, function, esthetics, and compliance with the dentist’s prescription.
  • Identify case requirements, inconsistencies, or potential concerns and communicate them promptly to appropriate laboratory or clinical team members.
  • Maintain accurate case records and organize work according to deadlines and established priorities.
  • Handle materials, instruments, equipment, and patient-related information responsibly and in accordance with applicable safety and confidentiality requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace.
  • Participate in training, continuing education, quality-improvement activities, and the development of technical skills.
  • Collaborate respectfully with dental technologists, dentists, dental assistants, laboratory personnel, and other team members.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited dental technology or dental laboratory technology program.
  • Registered Dental Technologist designation, or eligibility for registration or authorization as applicable to the position and jurisdiction.
  • Recent graduates and candidates beginning their professional dental technology careers are encouraged to be considered.
  • Foundational knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, dental materials, prosthetic principles, infection control, and laboratory safety.
  • Ability to interpret dental prescriptions and follow detailed technical instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, hand skills, visual accuracy, and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to learn laboratory techniques, digital workflows, equipment operation, and established quality standards.
  • Effective communication, organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate guidance and collaborate effectively within a dental laboratory team.
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality, professional conduct, safety, and accurate, high-quality work.
