In this unique position with the CAF, you will provide trauma-focused surgeries at Canadian Forces Health Services Clinics and internationally. By participating in educational roles, you will mentor fellow medical officers and healthcare personnel. Maintaining your clinical readiness in civilian hospitals is essential for addressing both domestic and deployment-related healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer orthopedic consultations for military personnel
• Manage surgical teams in both civilian and deployed environments
• Teach trauma and orthopedic care to multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure clinical skills are up to date in civilian setups
• Influence development of health policies in CAF
Requirements:
• License to practice orthopedic surgery in Canada
• Experience with trauma care
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Dedication to ongoing education and training
• Availability for domestic and international deployments
