Temporary Clerk – Endocrinology and Metabolism; Riverside Campus

Join our dynamic team at the University of Ottawa Medical Associates (UMA) in the position of Temporary Full-Time Clerk in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Riverside Campus. The clerk will provide office administration and clerical support to the Division of Endocrinology. (This is not a complete list):

• Receive, upload, and close consults
• Enter appointment dates into EPIC (EMR)
• Upload and distribute incoming faxes on behalf of the administrative team.
• Provide support with clinical documentation and paperwork as workload permits.
• Supports the team with general administrative tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations

• Community College Diploma or equivalent;
• Certificate in medical terminology preferred;
• Good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience booking appointments, consultations, procedures and filing patient reports;
• Meticulous attention to detail;
• Excellent communication skills – able to clearly express self to patients and provide specific instructions;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Proficiency in speaking and comprehending both English and French preferred.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills to coordinate multiple activities;
• Good judgment; able to identify when to seek supervisor’s assistance or advice;
• Strong problem-solving abilities;
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information;
• Initiative, tact, dedication, diplomacy and positive attitude;
• Highly dependable and thorough;
• Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
