Join to apply for the 2026‑27 OCDSB French Staffing Pool role at Ottawa‑Carleton District School Board (OCDSB).
This posting is open to approved OCDSB Elementary Occasional Teachers and External Applicants. The OCDSB will be hiring teachers qualified in FSL Part 1 for contract and long‑term occasional assignments to address the growing needs of our French programs for the 2026‑27 school year.
Candidates Invited to Apply- On our Occasional Teachers roster and have been French assessed (F).
- On our Occasional Teachers roster, have FSL Part 1 qualifications and intend to have your French assessed in February 2026 (whether this is your initial screening or if your previous assessment was unsuccessful and you wish to be reassessed).
- OCDSB Occasional Teachers who will have FSL qualifications by August 31, 2026.
- External candidates (who currently have FSL Part 1 qualifications or will have by August 31, 2026).
- Re‑locating French contract teachers.
- Previous FSL Pool candidates that wish to participate in the 2026‑27 process. Candidates deemed eligible previously for a contract position do not need to re‑interview. Candidates that were deemed eligible for an LTO or the OT list have the option of interviewing to improve their status.
All successful applicants will need to be in good standing with OCT by August 31, 2026.
The Final date to receive applications to the 2026‑27 FSL Staffing Pool is 11:30 p.m. on February 20, 2026.
Post‑Appointment Options (September 2026)- A permanent contract position with the OCDSB.
- A long‑term occasional assignment with the OCDSB for the 2026/27 school year.
- The OCDSB Occasional Teachers roster.

Interviews will be conducted via Google Meet. Screening is anticipated in February/March, placements in May/June 2026.
Candidates will be invited to an interview only if they meet the conditions listed above. If selected for an interview, persons with disabilities who need accommodations in the application or interview process should email a request and indicate "Accommodation Request" in the subject line.
