Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 )

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Nature of Work

The TA will assist in delivering a bacteriophage genome annotation lab and will manage a section with 13-16 students.

Requirements

Prior experience working with bacteriophages, annotating a bacteriophage genome, preparing a Gen Bank entry, using annotation software (Gene Mark, PECAAN, Phamerator, Starterator, HHPred, BLAST) and familiarity with the SEA-PHAGES program are important assets. They must be a good communicator (in English and/or French) and have completed relevant courses.
