Description
:Intensive workshop allowing for the further development of a specific competency or content related to technology and studies in digital cultures. Themes will vary. Course may be repeated if theme is different. Student receives a grade of S (satisfactory) or NS (non satisfactory).
In a digital context marked by an overabundance of information, misinformation, and persistent inequalities in the production and access to knowledge, open knowledge infrastructures play a structuring role in the democratic and cultural life of citizens. However, these ecosystems—intended to be collaborative and public—also reflect social, linguistic, cultural, and geopolitical imbalances that warrant critical examination. Building on this context, this workshop will engage students in interdisciplinary teams to better understand these challenges and to take action by developing practical interventions aimed at countering misinformation and reinforcing open knowledge infrastructures.
