Ottawa Catholic School Board is hiring a Long Term Occasional teacher to provide coverage for a teacher on leave. This assignment covers Grade ym 5 blend and P&P Kindergarten, 1.00 full‑time equivalent.
Responsibilities- Provide teaching coverage for a teacher on leave in Grade 5 blend and P&P Kindergarten.
- Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons.
- Assess student learning and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the regular teacher for continuity of instruction.
- Good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
- Completion of Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT.
- Valid teaching licence for the relevant grade levels.
Salary will be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement. Effective September 1, 2025, teacher salaries range from $51,234.00 to $.

Process for Selection- The board will identify the three most senior applicants who are available for the assignment and hold the required qualifications.
- An Occasional Teacher is considered available if they have not already been assigned to another LTO position during the term of this assignment.
- The three most senior applicants will be contacted to confirm their interest. If any decline, the next most senior qualified applicant is considered, ensuring five applicants are reviewed.
- If fewer than three qualified applicants apply, the selection will be made from the available candidates.
- If no qualified occasional teachers apply or all decline, the board may hire an external qualified teacher who is not on the roster. Such candidates must Waterloo interview process and provide a negative PRC for the Vulnerable Sector dated within the last six months.
- AI may be utilized throughout the selection and recruitment process.
