AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 )The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.
Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.
These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Nature of Work:
Prepare and deliver interactive conversation sessions designed to improve students’ conversational English, social communication skills, and intercultural competence. Facilitate group discussions focusing on listening and speaking while fostering an inclusive and informal environment that encourages active participation and practical language practice. Sessions follow a student-centered, task-based approach. Responsibilities include taking attendance, reporting session details to the Student Services Coordinator, and contributing to students’ confidence-building and communication skill development.
Requirements:
Capacity to facilitate group work through a student-centered, task-based learning approach and to explain the English verb system, sentence structure, and academic vocabulary to second language learners. Previous ESL training and classroom experience is an asset; classroom multimedia experience is an asset; excellent command of the English language; interview may be required.
Please note:
This workshop is offered exclusively on the University of Ottawa campus and requires in-person instruction.
Schedule:Mondays 1:15 PM - 2:15 PM (excluding family Day)
