The University of Ottawa invites applications for a Course Lead in Art after Modernism for Fall 2026. Bring your insights from 1945 to 1978's artistic landscapes.
Ideal candidates will possess a Ph.D. in History of Art and relevant teaching experience. This in-person course aims to engage about 60 students in understanding key artistic developments during the 1960s and 1970s. Classes are scheduled for Tuesdays from 14:30 to 17:30.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement course curriculum effectively
• Assess student assignments and provide constructive feedback
• Engage students through interactive teaching methods
• Conduct relevant research to inform course material
• Ensure adherence to academic policies and regulations
Requirements:
• Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in History of Art or equivalent
• Demonstrated teaching experience in post-secondary education
• Active publication in art history or related areas
• Strong commitment to equity and accessibility
• Willingness to accommodate diverse academic needs
