Part-Time Academic ESL Professor

Become a pivotal part of the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Arts as a Part-Time ESL Professor. Engage students in ESL 140 for the Fall 2026 semester, focusing on critical skills in English.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach ESL 140:
Academic Bridging in English course

• Foster fluency in speaking and writing among students

• Design lesson plans targeting critical listening and reading

• Collaborate with fellow instructors for course management

• Evaluate and provide feedback on student assignments

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in TESL or related discipline

• Two years of ESL teaching experience in higher education

• Experience with similar course instruction preferred

• TESL Certification or equivalent qualification

• On-campus, in-person teaching required
