Position: Fall 2026 Writing Instructor Position
Refine your teaching of writing with the University of Ottawa in a regular part-time role for Fall 2026. Lead students in enhancing their writing style across diverse contexts using both traditional and digital tools.

This role focuses on delivering lectures and managing classroom activities in English while providing support and feedback on students’ writing exercises. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Translation or a closely related field, with extensive professional writing experience in English and a good knowledge of French. Strong skills in addressing language interference issues and familiarity with writing conventions are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures in English, manage assessments

• Maintain course site in the university LMS

• Teach techniques for effective writing across media

• Integrate writing resources and provide constructive feedback

• Coordinate with colleagues to uphold program standards

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Translation or similar

• Professional-level English writing skills

• Experience in Canadian writing and teaching

• Good understanding of bilingual interference

• Familiarity with traditional and multimedia writing
