Position: Part-Time Language Instructor for ESL 130
Become a Part-Time Language Instructor at the University of Ottawa, teaching ESL 130 this Fall 2026. Focus on skills refinement and critical thinking to foster student engagement.

The University of Ottawa is excited to welcome a new Part-Time Professor to its Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute for the Fall semester. Applicants should hold a Master's degree in Second Language Teaching and possess two years of experience in ESL instruction. This role is dedicated to refining listening and speaking skills while providing students with tools to self-correct in their academics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver lectures for ESL 130:
Academic Enhancement in English

• Guide students through interactive learning experiences

• Support skill improvement in reading and writing assignments

• Conduct classes Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

• Collaborate in a team-teaching framework as necessary

Requirements:

• A Master's degree in a related discipline

• At least two years of ESL teaching experience

• Previous experience teaching equivalent ESL courses

• Valid TESL Certification or equivalent required

• Must provide in-person instruction at Main Campus
