Fall Part-Time ESL Instructor

Position: Fall 2026 Part-Time ESL Instructor
Enhance language acquisition as a Part-Time ESL Instructor for the 2026 Fall semester at the University of Ottawa. This role focuses on developing students' academic English skills through practical and interactive methods.

You will be responsible for teaching ESL 110, which covers essential listening and reading skills, as well as writing composition. In-person instruction will take place Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A Master's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of two years' experience in ESL teaching is required to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction for ESL 110 course

• Improve students' listening and reading comprehension

• Utilize role-plays and dialogues to facilitate learning

• Support students' writing and composition efforts

• Coordinate with other instructors on scheduling

Requirements:

• Master's degree in TESL or related area

• Two years of university-level ESL teaching experience

• Experience with relevant course instruction

• Proven team-teaching experience

• TESL Certification or equivalent
