** The Department of Biology the University of Ottawa invites applications to fill one replacement professor position in Biology, to begin July 1, 2026.
** Title of the position:
** Replacement professor
** Duties:
** The functions of a member of the academic staff include, in varying proportions, teaching activities (six courses per year) and academic service activities. The candidate will be expected to teach in both official languages.

** A 3-year contract, non-renewable
** Wage:
** Salary scales for Assistant Professors start at $99,377 (as of May 1, 2025).

** Ph.D. or equivalent in Biology. Strong teaching experience is essential in cellular /Molecular Biology. Research experience in molecular biology is an asset. The successful candidate must be able to teach in English and French, the two official languages of the University, upon taking up the position.
