Position: Itinerant Literacy Support Teacher Role
Location: Kemptville

Join a dedicated team as an Itinerant Literacy Support Teacher in the Eastern Region, focusing on providing essential reading interventions for students from Kindergarten to Grade
3. Your expertise will help guide students needing additional literacy support.

As a key player in this permanent term role, you will work with educators to implement systematic reading instruction based on student assessment data. Your responsibilities include facilitating small group interventions for diverse learning needs and contributing to school-wide literacy initiatives through collaboration and resource-sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct early reading screenings and assessments

• Facilitate small group interventions in reading

• Collaborate with classroom teachers on literacy practices

• Share successful strategies and resources with teams

• Participate in leading literacy-focused professional learning

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario College of Teachers certificate

• Knowledge of systematic reading instruction methods

• Experience in tiered instructional support

• Familiarity with the Ontario Language Curriculum

• Willingness to travel to rural school locations
