International Languages Teacher

Become an International Languages Teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board for the  school year. Teach virtually on weekends, leveraging your language skills and teaching experience.

This role requires intermediate/senior qualifications through the Ontario College of Teachers. You will facilitate language learning for students during Saturday classes, focusing on fluency in target languages. Candidates should be comfortable with technology and possess a reliable internet connection to create an accessible virtual classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach target languages to intermediate/senior students

• Prepare engaging lesson plans and instructional materials

• Maintain virtual classroom engagement during classes

• Assess student progress and provide feedback

• Uphold equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching

Requirements:

• Intermediate & senior qualifications with the Ontario College of Teachers

• Fluency in one or more target languages

• Relevant teaching experience is preferred

• Access to technology and reliable internet
