Curriculum and Teaching Materials in Second Language Education
Foundations of curriculum and principles of curriculum development in SLE. Analysis of second language curricula. Development, adaptation and analysis of syllabi, lesson planning and teaching materials with subject integration. Assessment of and for learning. Critical analysis of teaching materials.

This course is part of the second language teaching program and is designed to train future second language teachers.
Required qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a doctorate (or be completing a doctorate) in Second Language Education.
- Academic and professional publications in the field of study over the past 5 years.
- Professional experience facilitating online courses and/or as a second language teacher (in Canada and/or abroad).
- Expertise in this field.
- Proven teaching effectiveness at the university level, as evidenced by recent course evaluations or equivalents.
- Experience in training (future) second language teachers is an asset.
The University may consider experience or qualifications equivalent to those set out above.
